New WMAA Gallery Opens!
The grand opening of the WMAA Gallery, located at 1443 Union Valley Road, is slated for Saturday, July 10 with an exhibit of "Small Works" by members. Doors will open at 10:00 a.m., with a Gala Opening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
WMAA was fortunate to locate this affordable rental space on Union Valley Road. It's quaint, and parking is plentiful. Proceeds from a Silent Auction on April 30th at the Pine Cliff Lake Clubhouse were one of the many sources of funds used to install a new ceramic tile floor, a security system, and to purchase insurance.
The gallery has two rooms: The main room will feature rotating monthly shows, with an Artist's Reception to be held on the second Saturday of each month. The second room will be reserved for WMAA members to exhibit and sell their work. The gallery will be run by members. Gallery hours: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.; Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; Sunday Noon to 4:00 p.m.

The WMAA Needs YOU!
The success and vitality of the WMAA depends very much on the active participation of our members. Our goal is to bring artists and art enthusiasts together to share ideas, facilitate opportunities for exhibition, and to foster education and community in the inspirational setting of the Highlands. There are many ways to become involved...
- Volunteer for a committee. Contact the office at (973) 728-8812 and sign up for one of our many committees - we can always use an extra hand!
- Bring a friend to a meeting. Spread the word to your friends, colleagues, neighbors and acquaintances. We welcome everyone who loves art. Bring someone with you to a meeting! Meetings are scheduled for the first Wednesday of each month. Cancellations will be posted on the web site at www.wmartists.org.
- Attend other members shows. This is fun, and also shows the kind of support that an arts organization can rally. Bring along some friends and meet the artists.
- Organize an outing. Some of the more interesting past activities have been organized informally by members. For example, you might want to send a message to the discussion list asking other members to join you on your next trip to draw a local landmark. Or invite members to visit a gallery opening with you.
StudentsThe WMAA offers a number of classes, check out the web site and sign up. And bring a friend!
